CRC Taiwanese Cuisine, Penang

Ever felt lazy at times to go out and get food but still wants to have a good meal? With the availability of take away service from CRC Taiwanese Cuisine. CRC actually stands for "Chinese Recreation Club". The club also offers badminton court rent, tennis court rent, basketball rent, swimming pool facilities and other sports facilities. For every order that is less than RM20, a delivery fee of RM2 is imposed to the total bill.
Food prices starts as low as RM1.20 for braised egg to a complete set of rice/noodles at RM5.90. I have made 2 orders in less than a month and as a person who is not so much into yellow noodles, I must commend that their food is definitely delicious!

"yong koi fei" drumstick noodle RM6.80 (comes with home made sambal, half braised egg and boiled vegetables)

Taiwanese crispy chicken chop noodle RM7.50 (also comes with home made sambal, half braised egg and boiled vegetables)

They have lots of other varieties and I more strengths about them is having friendly and polite workers (people who take order and people who deliver).
So, what happens to meals when you are lazy to go out? No worries, call CRC! :)

Kocha Taiwanese food

Have you ever met a person who is so in love with a particular food at a particular place that he or she visits the place almost everyday in a week? Well, recently, my friend confessed to me that she is one and she invited to me dine with her in this favorite place of hers. Immediately when we sat down, she didn't even bother to look at the menu and straight ordered her favorite dish. This place has indeed got a very nice ambience. The menu was so filled with options that it took me more than 10 minutes to decide on my order.
there were about 3 aquariums (the aquariums are very well-kept) in the entire restaurant, perhaps the boss believed in fishes bringing good luck for the business
spicy vegetarian noodle set which comes with drink, dessert and fruit (RM13.80)
my friend's favorite, minced pork and rice set (RM12.80)
 red tea cold
milk tea
dessert, red bean soup

The food comes in very big portion so if you want to try a variety of them, try to call ala carte instead of set. Will definitely go back there for another round of other choices!

Fung Lye @ The Gardens, KL

After my first post on my lunch in KL. Here was what i had for dinner. And, i certainly got to acknowledge my cousin brother, Davis and his wife, Jocelyn for bringing me to this wonderful restaurant to dine. Not only do they have good food, they also have perfect service!
Located in The Gardens, a complex frequented by lots of people, you definitely got to be prepared if you have to wait long before you get a table. Nevertheless. this Taiwanese restaurant "Fung Lye" has got comfy cusions located outside of their restaurants specially for patrons who are waiting for their seats. Not only that, the patrons are also served with specially brewed tea while waiting to be called to their table.

According to Davis and Jocelyn, this restaurant is famous of their sweet potato balls too which costs only RM4.90. Unfortunately, we were all very full from our previous meal and so we did not order. Also, the set which we ordered were very big in portion.

taiwan minced-meat sauce noodle-RM17.80

fried sliced beef with green onion in claypot set meal-RM19.80

three varieties of supreme diced chicken-RM19.80
All the set meals come with a bowl of rice and 3 other side dishes (change daily) and a bowl of soup. And i love the ones we got the other day.

fried lotus root (a little spicy and crispy-nice); fish cake (not so bad); a kind meat (duck probably-too cold)

love the way the soup is served-in this authentic china porcelain bowl

 fried vegetable

cold oolong passion-RM7.30

papaya milk juice-RM7.30

apple yogurt juice-RM7.30

"Fung Lye" is definitely a must-try especially for those Chinese-food keens.
