Padang Kota Lama or better known as Fort Cornwallis among the foreign tourists is definitely a family place as it not only has a a big field for recreational purposes, it also has a huge food court serving all kinds of delicious and famous hawker's of Penangites'.
My personal choice of meal at the food court would be the Hameed's mee goreng (fried noodle, Indian style) and Jalil's ais kacang definitely blends in well as a dessert for this meal.
look at the number of plates of noodles they have to prepare to fulfil the demands for it
as you can see above, there were 3 groups of long queue in just 30 minutes!
nice open-air seats with lots of greens
if you are a "non-spicy" person, order the non-spicy one
Jalil special ice kacang (they claimed to have been around for 32 years!)
RM3 for this is definitely worth!
I guess my tolerance for spiciness has increase along the way, I definitely think that I can bring my spiciness to whole new level with the "constant practice" of eating this mee goreng. ;p
Oh ya, if Hameed's queue is too long, you are requested to self-serve as well but no worries about orders because these people have really great memories!
Where at?
