With the price hike in most things nowadays, people are looking at cost-cutting to reduce their burden to match their budget expenses but at the same time are able to spend a little on their hobby. Moreover with the economy downturn last year, people are reducing their spendings on the un-necessaries. I am of course one of them! Nevertheless, my job function requires me to be presentable and so dressing up is very essential. One fine day, curious after hearing about the funs and joys of pasar malam (night market), my friend and I decided to give it a try. We were so thrilled when we first stepped into the haven of everything! You can find almost everything from pasar malam, from food to clothes to shoes to bags! And to our surprise, most of the clothes sold there were actually equivalent to the ones sold in boutiques of shopping complexes but at much cheaper price. Trust me, if you are diligent at finding the right stalls, you will be able to find clothes of very good quality at a super reasonable price!
Look what I have gotten so far...
FYI: Pasar malam stalls are all the same in Penang as they move from one location to another on different days. Here are their itinary:
Monday night: Mayang Pasir, Bayan Baru
Tuesday night: Tanjong Tokong
Wednesday night: Farlim
Friday night: off Perak Road
