1 little stall @ Lengkuk Nipah

Located along Lengkuk Nipah (Taman Lip Sin), just right before you turn into the car park of Super Tanker food court is a small little stall which has everything you can think of eating! From 'koay teow thng' to 'tomyam noodle' to 'herbal soup noodle', this stall is visible from its bright yellow name tag. Just beside the stall is one which sells soya bean drink and soya bean curd.

There were about 10 tables altogether with 5 underneath shade for shelter against hot sun and rain. This place is nice for a quick meal. You probably would not want to sit too long inhaling all the smoke coming from vehicles travelling just right beside you.

Blue Reef Fish & Chips @ Straits Quay

The latest new happening place is what is known as Straits Quay. An n-storey building which adapts the Victorian style of architecture, Straits Quay also cater to residential area. It is also similar to that of Clarke Quay in Singapore. Shopping complex is still very quiet as most of the shoplots are still not rented.
They have a lot of dining places opened though since the opening of Straits Quay.
I made my first dining debut at Blue Reef in conjunction of a birthday celebration for a friend. I must compliment the services I was given and the promptness of dish serving.

With affordable prices and big serving portion, Blue Reef is definitely a place recommended for all young and old, single or with family.
By the way, this place also serves wine and thus would be suitable for celebrations of special occasions as well.
The total bill adds on to a 10% service charge and somehow for the portion we are getting, we still think that this place is not an expensive place.

Soju @ Penang Times Square

Recently celebrated a friend's birthday at Soju, Penang Times Square. It is more a popular place to clubbing and drinking. But they also offer a variety of food as well.
For those of you who don't really know where, it is just located at the ground floor of Penang Times Square. If you are driving along Jalan Dato Keramat from Gama Supermarket, it is actually visible to you.

There was not many people who actually went to Soju for eating purposes. The food would be rated on average only as well. So, perhaps, i would not go back again.

Anyway, it is no harm for those first timers to give it a try, just to experience the ambience.

Coffee Heritage

If you have been following this blog, perhaps you would noticed me mentioning Hardwicke Cafe twice. Unfortunately, the business seems to not be doing so well and thus they have changed their name to Heritage Coffee and the entire concept as well.
Now Heritage Coffee serves a fusion of food from nachos to tomyam noodles to fish and chips.

This place offers a seating choice of indoor or outdoor. If you a football addict, there is a huge screen specially dedicated to you. The outdoor seating also lets you experience cool breeze. Unfortunately, the two times that i have been to Heritage Coffee, it rained. 

Let's hope my third time won't be dashed with rain again. :)

OXO, Queensbay

I have always drove past this red and white building, wondering if it is a pub because it looks dark inside. So, my friend and i decided to try it out one day. To our surprise, they actually have pretty good scale of food in their menu.
We don't have a big company so we are limited to ordering only a few items but i will definitely go back and try out the other items in menu.

This place also plays all the easy-going and slow songs (my genre of music) and for the good food they have, i shall go back again.

Tsurukame Shabu Shabu @ Queensbay Mall

It was my first time to enter a Japanese which offers buffet steamboat. This is a newly opened restaurant on the third floor, in front of "Queens Food Market" food court of Queensbay mall. Very uniquely decorated which a selection to sit outside or inside of the restaurant.

I would say the food is comparatively reasonable with that of other Japanese's. However, i don't quite find them delicious. And thus, i don't think i am going back again. Besides, the dishes for steamboat are put on the conveyor belt and they don't look as fresh.

Swensons @ Juru, Autocity

I guess it has been some time since i last went to Autocity. There are so many choices of dining at the latest happening spot, but we decided to dine at Swensons.
